Is IoD Membership Worth It
Membership fees are charged year on year and are based on three levels of memberships: Uni+ (free), Uni Plus (standard/comparable package), and Uni Professional (with extra tools and resources designed to help you succeed). The decision on whether to install a paid membership into your account will depend on a variety of factors: If you fail to pay your yearly membership fee (most people choose to do this after they’ve paid the election fee), or if you abandon your membership early, you won’t be charged any fees for the current or any subsequent renewal dates.
The election fee is assessed in two stages. To apply for an election fee, please refer to the membership fee information. You will typically receive an election fee email from us about 1–2 weeks before your annual subscription renewal date, choosing the level of your membership, and/or confirming your selections. For full details, please see the membership fee information. The fee is assessed on your yearly membership subscription for up to three consecutive full years. The first (£350) payment is subject to an assessment at 50% of the actual fee for the first full year and the remaining balance at 0%.
The second (£550) payment is subject to an assessment at 100% of the actual fee for the second full year and 50% of the remaining balance at 0%. If, after your first subscription payment, you have not been in a regular pay cycle (i.e. miss one or more payment deadlines for the same package), you must then renew your membership by 30 days of the next subscription payment deadline. If you pay your annual subscription fee within two months of your renewal date, your yearly renewal fee’s amount will be reduced by 50% to account for the early payment we’ll make towards your next renewal date.
In the event you decide not to go ahead with your subscription and your monthly dues are past due, you may be subject to penalties on top of the membership fee that we incur for processing your non-payment. The application for the election fee is at your own risk and you should read the fee information carefully before applying for membership in order to determine whether or not your application is appropriate for the membership level you have selected. All home office equipment comes with full manufacturer warranty* and can be exchanged for a new or replacement portion of the product on request.

How Much is IoD Membership
After successfully hitting your fundraising target of £45,000, IoD’s admin team will send you a membership survey. Your survey response will be used to allocate funding and track progress of your campaign.
A universal membership is valid across all fundraisers and supports ongoing campaigns, so the next time you launch a new campaign, you can focus on running it.
